Trip to Turkmenistan: Tour 3
Day 1: Ashgabat - Old Nisa - Gypchak - Ashgabat
Happy to see dear travelers in Turkmenistan. The guide will meet you at Ashgabat International Airport and transfer to the city for a tour. We will visit the UNESCO heritage known as the Old Nisa and see remains of the Parthian Empire. Approximately belonging to the III millennium BC - III millennium AD. Then you can see the mosque and the mausoleum of president in Gypjak. Transfer to a hotel for sleep.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Darwaza
Travelers will walk alonh the mosque "Seyitjemaleddin". In the afternoon we will drive to the northern parts of the country in order to see the village "Bahardok". Here you can get to know the local people and exchange culture. The Darwaza Gas Crater is known all over the world and welcomes everyone. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 3: Darwaza - Kunya Urgench - Dashoguz
In the morning we will visit vibrant sites as Old Urgench, Capital of Khorezm, the Mausoleum of Najm al Din al Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the biggest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyg Timur. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Dashoguz - Damla
We are going to present outstanding Damla located at Karakum desert. The village is known for traditions and customs of the people of Turkmenistan to live. This village is a faultless place for all who wish to see the enormity of the local life and traditions still existing since the ancient times. The area is located in the east and shows us the idea to see sandy dunes. Damla is the right place for all to visit as they travel in the country. It is near Bekuri city. Overnight is in a tent.
Day 5: Damla - Mary - Margush
The day will start by travelling to Mary city. We will have excursion to Margush and Gonurdepe. There is also the Margush Oasis which is 5th of the whole civilization. The site Margush is recognized as the "lowland" being first investigated properly by Viktor Sarianidi, the head of the Margiana Archeological Expedition. All along the territory there can be found the monuments to the Bronze Age. The Margiana sites are associated with those at the territory of the present-day Afghanistan. It used to be the societies of the ancient times. Rest.
Day 6: Margush - Merv - Mary
In the morning we will travel to Old Merv. This site is situated right at the Great Silk Road. It used to be the utmost city of the ancient times. With this tour everyone is going to see the Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Sanjar Mausoleum, Ibn Zeid Mausoleum. Then we will arrive to the Mary city. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 7: Mary - Turkmenabad - Dayahatyn - Mary
The tour will start by travelling to Turkmenabat city. On the way we will visit the Dayahatyn caravanserai. It is famous to be the site of the medieval times and located at the banks of the Amu Darya River. It environs the Turkmenabat, Lebap Wilayah, also it is the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In the past it used to be the fortress originated in the 9th century, but in the 11th century it had experienced some transformations, making the shelter for the people going along the Great Silk Road. The Dayahatyn caravanserai is famous for exclusive style of the architecture. The day ends with coming back to Mary city. Night is in a hotel.
Day 8: Mary - Ashgabat
In the morning we will travel to Ashgabat city. On arrival we will sightsee the National Historical museum, Gokdepe Mosque and Russian Bazaar. All of these places are very known among the boarders and bear the great implication for the people of the country. Transfer to a hotel.
Day 9: Flight
Transfer to the International Airport of Ashgabat in order to return back home.
