Trip to Tajikistan: Tour 7

Day 1: Dushanbe
Our driver will pick you in the airport and accompany to Dushanbe. Meet a guided city tour. We will visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then we will walk in National park to make photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and admire the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. In the afternoon we will visit Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. The next destination is going to Asian bazaar. Night is in a hotel.

Day 2: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
In the morning we will travel to Kalai Khum village. We will see Norak water reservoir (Tajik Sea). The highest point of the day is Shuraba pass (2 267 m). Then we will travel along Afghanistan border starts. This part will startle you by its exclusive mountains. It is territory of Pamir Mountains. The Pamirs have enthused the world's highest voyagers as Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Afterwards we will drive along natural border - Pyanj River. Rest is in a homestay.

Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
In the morning we will drive to Khorog. This place is enclsed by stony mountains. The town was built on the confluence of the 3 rivers where Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. On the way to Khorog you will meet Pamir people and get acquainted with their lifestyle. The Pamiris have high percentage of people with blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. Pamirs Mountains are the highest mountains in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. Night is in a guesthouse.

Day 4: Khorog - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake - Murgab
The most attractive lakes of the Pamirs are Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes), strained on the altitude of 3 700 meters above sea level, are located in the Murghab district. The color of water in Bulunkul is violet and dark-blue in the sunlight. Species of fish like are found in abundance in the lake. There is the opportunity to see yaks providing milk and meat products. On the way to the lake you will drive over Koitezak pass (4 271 m). Rest is in a guesthouse.

Day 5: Murgab - Kyzyl Art
In the morning is transfer to Kyrgyz border.
