Trip to Kyrgyzstan: Tour 6

Day 1: Bishkek - Chunkurchak - Bishkek
You will start your tour in Kyrgyzstan upon arrival to the airport. Driver will pick you up and transferred to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. The road to Bishkek will take a 40-minute drive from the airport. Upon arrival to the city you will prominent sights as the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic, and many other sights. Next destination is Chunkurchak gorge (45 km) that is known as one of the smallest gorges in Kyrgyzstan. During the tour you will learn that the name of this gorge is translated as the "hollow". Moreover the location of this gorge is a National Biological Reserve where you will have a chance to see the rare species of tulips. In spring it is possible to enjoy scarlet meadow while in winter enjoy the time in ski complex. This gorge also leads to the Takhr Gorge where is 200 m (656 f) rock can be seen through Alamedin River. Evening drive to Bishkek for night in a hotel.

 

Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin
In course of the tour you will be transferred to Chon Kemin gorge. During the tour you will have an excursion in the Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) as well as the open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Here you will have an opportunity to reach the top of the tower to enjoy the view of it and then the road will lead to Chon Kemin gorge. Upon arrival you will become acquainted with a local family. Then you will have a horse riding tour that will take 3 hours to reach the top of the mountains. The road to it will go through the mountain forest. On the top you will see the panorama view of the gorge. The night will be in a home stay. 

Day 3: Chon Kemin - Issyk Kul lake northern shore - Karakol
Today your destination is the famous second largest alpine lake in the world that is known as Issyk Kul Lake. You will find this lake on the altitude of 1608m.above sea level. You will be impressed to know that this lake was considered to be a sacred one for more than 1 500 years. By being in the middle of the lake it is possible to enjoy the view of the mountains that encircled it. The route of the travel goes through the northern shore that leads to Karakol town. During the tour you will have a stop to explore ancient stone patterns that is also known as petroglyphs. In Karakol  you will see the Dungan mosque which was made in Chinese style without using a single metal nail and an old wooden Orthodox Church. Overnight is in a hotel. 

Day 4: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Tamga 
Today your destination of the tour is Jeti Oguz gorge. During the travel you will be impressed to see the red rocks formations that have a name Seven Bulls or Jeti Oguz. Here you will have an opportunity to hike to the top of the Broken Heart Mountain the road to which will take 20 minutes. After it you will head on to Flower Valley to have a hiking tour to explore the beauty of a mountain waterfall. In course of the travel you will have an opportunity to enjoy yurts in the gorge as well as local people who can offer you to drink Kumis. It is an alcohol drink that is made of mare's milk. Then the route of the tour goes through the southern shore of Issyk Kul lake. Night will be in a homestay in Tamga.

Day 5: Tamga - Kichi Naryn - Naryn
Today you will drive to Naryn via the famous for its beauty Kichi Naryn gorge. You will be mesmerized by the fabulous mountains, picturesque passes during the road. Kichi Naryn gorge will astonish you by the breathtaking scenery of the view by Jalpak Bel that is located on 3 000 meters above sea level. You will see the reason of popularity of tours to Kyrgyzstan by driving here. On the way you will have a stop at the Bokonbaeva village. This place is prominent due to a local eagle-hunter. He uses the traditional way of hunting that involve eagle the preys of which are hares and foxes. Upon arriving to Kochkor village you will meet local family that is going to show you the method of making our national felt carpets. Moreover you will have an opportunity to visit the local handicraft museum. Then you will continue to drive to Naryn where you are going to spend night in guesthouse.

Day 6: Naryn - Tash Rabat
Morning drive to the famous sight in tours to Kyrgyzstan the Tash Rabat Caravanserai. This stone castle was made in in the 14th century on the Great Silk Road. You will be amazed by the view of it that can be found at the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. This sight was built of stone blocks in a mountain on the altitude of 3200 m above sea level. It is consists of 31 rooms the walls of which are 1 m thick. Moreover you will be amazed to know that there are underground prison cells that were used to imprison thieves in ancient times. Night will be spent in yurts near Tash Rabat Caravanserai.

Day 7: Tash Rabat - Torugart border
In the morning is transfer to Chinese border.
