Kyrgyz people say "If you are given one day life, spent a half of it in the saddle". Since ancient times horses played a huge role in the nomad's life. It was impossible to survive without a faithful and strong helper in our mountainous country. During the tour you will be riding a horse along the Great Silk Road like a nomad and you will get acquainted with Kyrgyz traditions, try the national dishes and drinks.
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
Your guide will pick you up at Manas International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will enjoy a breakfast. Then you will be transferred to the heavenly Issyk Kul Lake (200 km), the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level) and one of the most transparence. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower (watch tower of the Balasagun city (11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). After having a traditional lunch, we continue our way to the lake. And there in Hotel you will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake enjoying warm sand and the purest water. Thanks to the salty water, Issyk Kul Lake possesses curative qualities. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 2: Issyk-Kul Lake - Karakol
The day starts with a breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you have free time to swim in the lake till 12 pm. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Karakol city by car (200 km). On the way, we will visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.) and the local museum. We will have a lunch at our second stop at 12 o'clock before continuing our way to Karakol city along the northern shore of the sparkling pearl of Central Asia. There will be one more break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. National dinner will be in a restaurant at 8 p.m in Karakol city. Night in a Guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. The entire morning will be spent to a guided Karakol City Tour. There are few highlights in the city you will visit: small Dungan mosque that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail and an old wooden Orthodox Church (1895). Later, you will visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the greatest explores of Central Asia. His biggest accomplishment was the crossing of the desert Taklamakan and the discovery of about 4000 animals. The City Tour ends with a traditional lunch and we leave Karakol at 1 p.m. and start our way to impressive Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley (70 km). On the way, you will see red mountains intricate cut by winds and water and visit the mineral sources of hot springs at Jeli Suu ( Dungan Village), where you will have the possibility to take a bath. And we reach the Physical and Geographical station of Chong Kyzyl Suu with 1 hour of a horseback riding. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts - original nomad's dwelling. It is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt what provides comfort in any seasons.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h)
We will leave the camp at 9 am and start our horseback riding tour to the Ashu Tor pass (2800m). And after lunch we will rise on horses to an amazing alpine lake where you might see mountain goats. After contemplation of the mountain lake we move back to the station. Dinner is served at 8 p.m. Overnight in yurts.
Day 5: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Kishi Kyzyl Suu(6h)
After an early breakfast at 7 am, you will ride off to the valley of Kishi Kyzyl Suu (lunch on the way) - it is a fascinating canyon that will not leave indifferent. We will arrive in Kishi Kyzyl village at 7 pm, where you will have enough time to settle in your tents, before being served a traditional dinner.
Day 6: Kishi Kyzyl Suu village - Jumakuchak(6h)
After breakfast we continue our horseback riding tour from the Kishi Kyzyl Suu valley to Jumakuchak thought the small Jumalai pass, where we will have a picnic with the enchanting sight of the surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. You will have time to explore its untouched nature on your own. Dinner is served at 7 p.m. Overnight in Jumakuchak in tents surrounded by nomadic yurts of Kyrgyz people.
Day 7: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village (6h)
The day starts with a breakfast at 8 am, before you will mount your horse to take the ride from Jumakuchak to Kok Terek Village. On the way you will cross the red hollow that is called "500 rams" and a fascinating mountain waterfall with a lunch served at the bottom. The waterfall lies close to hot springs (40 degrees Celsius). After having a rest we will move further to Kok Terek village. Our dinner and overnight will be in a home stay.
Day 8: Kok Terek - Bishkek
After packing your backpacks, you will be transferred to Bishkek city along the southern shore of the bewitching Issyk-Kul Lake (380 km by car). You will arrive to Bishkek in a Hotel **** at around 6 pm, where you will have time until a farewell dinner in a restaurant that will be served at 7 pm.
Day 9: Bishkek - Europe
Breakfast is served at 9 o'clock. Then you will have guided Bishkek city tour (the capital of Kyrgyzstan) which includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. You will have lunch at 2 p.m. The rest of the day is at your own arrangement. Pick up and transfer from the hotel according your flight details.
