Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 6

This fascinating bike tour includes the most known places of Kyrgyzstan. You will visit the best Kyrgyz highlights while cycling in our country. This bike tour will give you an opportunity to touch the land of Tien Shan and to have a rest in its amazing gorges. Also you will be biking near our famous Son Kul Lake that is the highest in country and situated on the altitude of 3016 m above the sea level. It is a wild place where nomads still live in their felt houses.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
Your guide will meet you at Manas International Airport and accompany to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will have a breakfast. After accommodation in a hotel*** you will have a rest and then you go for an excursion to very colorful Natural Park Ala-Archa in the Ala-Archa gorge, on the Kyrgyz range in 45 km from Bishkek. You will hike to the top of a mountain and enjoy nice view of this famous gorge. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night in a Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Naryn town
In the morning we will be transferred to Kichi-Naryn village (2351m. alt.) and you will ride down to the confluence of the Kichi-Naryn and Naryn rivers and from there we ride along Naryn river to the town of Naryn (2050 m. alt.).This town was built right along the gorge and it stretched on the bank of longest river Naryn. The town is situated 2800 meters above the sea level. The road to Naryn will surprise you by its spectacular landscapes along incredible gorges and you will have many photo stops! Lunch on the road. You ride on the main road so it is pretty easy day. This night you spend as nomads in yurts! Yurts are traditional collapsible nomadic dwellings that are made of felt and wood without using a single nail and can be constructed in ne our but used for ten years.
Day 3: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat caravanserai (130 km)
Today we will move from Naryn to the legendary Tash Rabat Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). You can ride or be transferred there by car. This mysterious castle Tash Rabat located at the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains at a height 3200 m above sea level. The building is a unique one it has no analogue in the whole world, because it was made of stones and furthermore it was built inside a mountain. In total there are 31 rooms in the mountain and underground prison cells for ancient thieves. The thickness of walls is 1 m. You will spend the night in yurts near by the Tash Rabat.
Day 4: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
After you finish packing your backpacks we start riding from Tash Rabat to Moldo village. This is moderate difficult ride on asphalt road along the wide Naryn Valley. At the time of Great Silk Road this way used to be very popular among ancient traders who travelled from China on camels and horses. It is a good chance to feel that you ride along the same way! Overnight in tents (1670m. alt.).
Day 5: Moldo village - Son Kul Lake
Today you can ride or to be transferred (60 km) from Moldo village to the highest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul Lake over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.). There is easy part with a slight descent the beginning of the gorge. From a narrow chasm where we will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 meters starts a steep ascent to the pass. Descent is shorter and easier. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level and it will rejoice you by peaceful and calm nature. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a plentiful pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight will be in nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. It is made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings. (3016 m. alt.).
Day 6: Son Kul Lake
We will stay at the hospitable shore f Son Kul for another day to relax and have a rest after long journey. You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle of ancient nomads on your own. You can ride along the lake on a famous Kyrgyz horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. This night you will spend in tents.
Day 7: Ride Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon (80km)
Before we will leave this sacred lake we will ride to the ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). Visiting that spot we will leave Son Kul and start ride to the Djumgal valley through Kara Keche pass (3381m). It is a land of high mountains, towering peaks, cliff rocks, and red canyons. There will be short walking in the red canyons. Night in tents.
Day 8: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Bishkek city
In the morning we transfer back to Bishkek city. The road will carry you away by the unspeakable scenery offered through views of the unspoiled nature. In the city you will have free time to go shopping and walk in the capital or just to have some rest after long journey. In the evening you will have a dinner in a restaurant and this night you will spend in a hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
In the morning we will visit our famous Osh bazaar. You will bargain for different goods and have a feeling as if you are 1000 years ago at the real oriental market! After that we will have a city tour including the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. A farewell dinner will be served at 7 o'clock. Night in a hotel***.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
At the time arranged previously according to your flight details your guide will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
