Peak Khan Tengri

Guests on tours in Kyrgyzstan will be able to explore interesting information about Khan Tengri Peak. The peak reaches an altitude of 6,995 meters above sea level, but with an ice cap, the peak has an altitude of 7,010 meters above sea level. During the tours, guests will be able to see the charming scenery of nature and learn that the peak is located in the Issyk-Kul region on the border with Kazakhstan.

You will notice in the tours that the locals prefer to refer to the peak as "The Prince of Spirits" or "The Lord of the Sky". At different times, the peak had different names, but all this was due to the fact that the researcher made a mistake in the study of peaks and confused it with Pobeda peak. You will be able to find out during the tours that the original peak was called Kan Tau or Blood Mountain. Most likely, this name was given to the mountain because of the red sunsets and the blood of the dead people.

On our tours, you can rent a car and find out that in 1931, a group from Ukraine was the first to explore and reach the top of the peak. At the time when there was a Soviet era, people could not explore the territory of the mountains and conquer the peaks. Because the territories of the mountains were not explored sufficiently well. Guests of the country on tours can rent a car, explore the views of the Enilchek Glacier, Lake Merzbacher and also enjoy the scenery of spectacular rivers, lakes and valleys with colorful gorges.
