This adventure concludes the most celebrated things to see in Kyrgyz Republic. We are going to show you the Minaret of Burana that refers to the end of 11 century A. D.; also you will see ancient (dated the 8th century B.C.) petroglyphs; the Treasure of Tien - Shan Mountains - Issik Kul that is the world's 2nd largest mountain lake and many other interesting places that you will like without doubts.
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
Meeting is in the International Airport of Manas. You will be met and accompanied by your guide to Bishkek (the capital city of Kyrgyz Republic). Transfer from the Airport to Bishkek city takes 30 minutes. On arrival you will start the day in Bishkek with a breakfast. After that is transfer (200 km) from the Kyrgyz capital to the celestial Lake of Issyk Kul that is the 2nd world's largest mountain lake (1608 m. above sea level). The nickname for Issik - Kul is "The Pearl of Central Asia". On the way to Issik - Kul, we will stop to visit the Tower of Burana -minaret that dated 11th century A. D. and Balbans (stone warriors) open air museum. We continue our way to the lake after having lunch. You will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake as soon as we are in the hotel. Owing to the salty water, Issyk Kul possesses curative properties. Dinner will be served at 7 o'clock in the evening.
Day 2: Issyk Kul Lake - Karakol
After having breakfast that is served at 8 o'clock, till 11 o'clock you will have spare time. Later on, you will be transferred by car (200 km) to Karakol town that is administrative and cultural center of Issik - Kul Region. Before driving to Karakol, we will visit in Cholpon - Ata the ancient (dating back to 800 B.C.) carvings on the boulders, as well as the local museum that is dedicated to the history of Issik - Kul Region. At 12 o'clock, in relaxed atmosphere you could enjoy your lunch, before continuing our trip to Karakol town along the northern shore of sparkling Issik - Kul. During another break, you will be able to admire its beauty in full, when you go on 1 hour cruise on a steam boat. The night is spent in the guesthouse. At 8 o'clock in the evening national dinner is served.
Day 3: Karakol - Tamga
At 8 o'clock in the morning is your breakfast. This morning is destined for Karakol guided city tour that includes the visiting of the old wooden Orthodox Church, which will be followed by the visit of the Dungan mosque that it was built without using a single metal nail in Chinese style. Later, you will visit the museum of one of the world's greatest explores - M. N. Przewalski, whose biggest successes were the discovery of more than 4000 species of animals, including the horse of Przewalski and the crossing of Taklamakan great desert. With traditional lunch we will end the city tour and at 1 p.m. we leave Karakol town. Our way (30km) leads us to the gorge of 7 red rocks - the impressive Jeti Oguz. There you will see picturesque Mountain that is called "Broken Heart" and the Sanatorium, where you could get a massage or take hydro shower. After that we could explore the Valley of Jeti Oguz (Yuri Gagarin's vacation house, yurts - nomadic collapsible dwellings, alpine vegetation of the Valley) or the Valley of Chong Kyzyl Suu with its geophysics station built in 1948 and hot water springs. Afterwards we will be transferred to the Village of Tamga, which was a place where in the 13th century the Tibetan monks lived. In the Tamga Guesthouse dinner is served. Sauna is optionally.
Day 4: Tamga - Bokonbaiva - Kochkorka (120km)
Your breakfast is at 9 o'clock in the morning. Till afternoon you have time to explore the Village of Tamga have or to have a rest on the Issyk Kul Lake southern beach. Further, you will be transferred by car to Kochkor Village via the Orto - Tokoi water collecting reservoir. In Bokonbaevo Village we will stop to have a lunch that will be served in the local eagle-hunter's house. With the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting) he hunts for hares and foxes. The hunting show with the birds of prey could be organized for you. After visiting Bokonbaevo Village we will continue our way to Kochkorka. In the Village of Kochkor you will meet a family that will show you how traditional Kyrgyz felt carpets (ala kiyiz) are made. You even could participate in the felt show and create your own carpet. With a local family you will have a traditional dinner that will be accompanied with national music performance. In Kochkor guesthouse you will spend this night.
Day 5: Kochkor Village - Son Kul Lake
Breakfast. After that we will be transferred to the 2nd biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic - Son Kul. The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this wonderful area for rest and relaxation since ancient times. Naryn region herders come to the lake to use it as summer pastureland. Son Kul Lake is surrounded with the mountains; it is situated at an altitude of 3013 m. above sea level and is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. On the way, lunch will be taken. You will be free to walk around and enjoy lake's virgin nature and its surrounds, after our arrival. Dinner and overnight stay are in the collapsible nomadic abodes - yurts. Yurts are built without nails. They are made out of wooden skeleton that is covered with thin felt mats.
Day 6: Son Kul (3013m. above sea level)
Your breakfast is at 9 a.m. This day you will spend in the paradise of the Kyrgyz nomads, at the Lake of Son Kul. It is a great opportunity to familiarize with nomadic customs and way of life. On a horse you can ride along the lake's shore or just have a rest in the wild and calm nature atmosphere. Today you will see also the ancient site of petroglyphs (stone carvings) and shamans' ritual stones. At 2 p.m. your lunch will be served. In original nomadic houses - yurts you will have a national dinner. In yurts as nomads do, you will spend this night.
Day 7: Son Kul - Bishkek City
At 8 o'clock in the morning your breakfast will be served. Today we return back to Bishkek. In Bishkek, as soon as we arrive, you will have guided city tour. You will visit many places of interest, such as: Oriental Osh Bazaar, National Concert Hall, the Central Square of Ala-Too, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), the Museum of the Kyrgyz History and Art Gallery. Lunch is included. You will receive a separate program, listing all places to be visited, including their brief description. A departure dinner is served at 7 p.m. The night will be spent in the hotel****.
Day 8: Bishkek - Europe According to your flight details, you will be met by your guide in the hotel and transferred to the Airport.
